You Inc. and What it REALLY Means!

“I’ve Been Branding Myself, But I Can’t Seem To Get My Team To Duplicate!”
For the longest time, this business was all about ME! Trust me, you do NOT want that. I notice a lot of people talking about Me Inc. and I completely agree that you need to brand yourself, NOT some company or product. BUT… If you make this business all about YOU, you will NEVER be able to retire. I believe we go about branding ourselves all wrong. People are NOT duplicatable, SYSTEMS are! Network Marketing is not (and Never has been) a One Man/Woman Show.
“What’s The Most Important Thing in Network Marketing?”
Is it BRANDING or DUPLICATION? I can just hear you now saying “Oh Crap!”
Ok, people are attracted to leaders and that’s great, but if what you’re doing is not Duplicatable for the masses, you’re probably not doing to good for Residual Income, which is every Network Marketer’s DREAM.
Remember, residual income does not come from YOUR efforts alone, it comes from the efforts of many people all doing the same thing. If you can’t get people to duplicate what you’re doing, YOU my friend are a goner!
When you brand yourself as an expert, your prospects are saying “I could NEVER do THAT!” or “It would take me YEARS to do that!” That is NOT duplicatable for the masses. 97% of your prospects will be part-time, average people and if those people can’t duplicate what you’re doing, you will NEVER have long term success.
“The Sweetest Words To Come Out of Your Prospects Mouth”
The most important thing to do is to keep it so Simple that almost ANYONE can do it! The sweetest words to come out of your prospects mouth are: “I” can do that!
If you can get 97% of your prospects to say those words, I can guarantee you will have MUCH more success in your business. So if you’re to become an expert at something, be an expert at keeping things simple and become an expert pointer. Even if I know the answer, I say “I don’t know, but I can put you on the phone with someone who does.” I don’t say that because I don’t know the answer but because then my prospects will say “Wow…I can do THAT!” And now you’ve got a believer.
I have my chance for branding when my team say those same words and direct them to me to answer all their questions. I still get to be the expert, but the person introducing the program keeps it so simple that ANYONE can do it.
That is DUPLICATABLE and THAT is how you do this business!
It’s never been about edifying Yourself. It’s always been about edifying Upwards. If you and your team can do that, you’ll have success, because it’s duplicatable for the Masses. You’ve just increased your numbers by 94%.
That’s called GOOD common business sense!

Are You Reaching Your Full Business Potential?

In this great industry, you NEED to keep an open mind. It’s crucial for the success of you and your team to do so. Most home business owners are so caught up in the hype of their company that they miss the whole reason they joined the business in the first place – To have both Time and Financial Freedom.
One question I ask all my clients is this “If you could do the exact same work you’re now doing and make 2-3 times more money, would you do it?” Most will say yes, but when it comes to taking action, some actually refuse to make the change. It’s human nature to flee at the sight of change, but change is what moves us forward. As you know, all home businesses are not the same. You can make more money in one than the other, and unless you are willing to do what’s best for you and your team, it might take you a lot longer to get there, if you even get there at all. Why put yourself through all that trouble if you don’t have to? It’s important to set you and your team up for success.
I emphasize the word “TEAM” because not one Network Marketing organization was built by one person. It was done through TEAMWORK!
You’ll be way better off if you focus on Building Teams vs Building a Business.
A saying that I truly love and live by says: “Build People and THEY will build the business”.
There are 5 Pillars or Keys you need in a company to set you and your team up for success.
Those Five Pillars are:
- Company Management with A track record in the field of Network Marketing. (Has the company management team built a downline and had success in doing so)
- Timing in the company and timing in the industry.
- A remarkable product.
- A compensation plan that will pay the part time people (97% of your people will be part time people! They NEED to get paid)
- A proven duplicatable system.
If your company is missing even one of these five ingredients, I can almost guarantee you will not succeed long term in this business.

Your Business Not Paying You What You Deserve?

I agree that a remarkable product is one thing to look for in a business. But it’s definitely not the ONLY thing to look at!
A VERY important key to look for is a good compensation plan that will pay you the most money for all the hard work you put in to build a Team of loyal consumers for that company.
How do you know if you have a good compensation plan? Easy!
Many people will start a business and never know how many people they will need in their team to make their desired income. The majority of people would be satisfied with $10,000 per month of RESIDUAL income. So, lets use that number.
Note: In order to make a RESIDUAL income, you NEED to have a remarkable CONSUMABLE product people will use and buy every single month. Otherwise, you’ll have to find new people all the time to buy your product. If the goal is Residual Income, you want recurring customers – The same customers buying your products every month. You also will want to ask yourself “Would any LOGICAL-thinking person buy this product if there was NOT a compensation plan attached to it? If the answer is no, how in the world will you market that product? See Also: Is Timing Important?
A good compensation plan is the one that pays the MOST money for the LEAST amount of people.
Let me explain before you jump the gun and say something like “My product cost $12,000 so I just have to make one sale a month to make $10,000.” That’s not what I mean. I mean how many of the SAME people buying your product EVERY month will it take for you to make $10,000 per month in residual walk-away income?
Here’s an example:
There’s a company out there (I won’t say the name for obvious reasons. I’ll just call them company A) requires it’s distributors to be on a 100 point autoship which costs about $100 - That’s great! BUT… the distributor only makes 1/4 of a percent per autoship.
That’s .25 per person!
So, how many ACTIVE distributors buying that product every month would it take for you to make $10,000 per month of residual walk-away income?
Answer: 40,000 people!!! and that’s not counting the people that dropped out!
An example of a better comp plan is this one:
We’ll call this company: Company B.
The average distributor in Company B makes 30% from every 100 points per person. AND… the products are sold at retail value, for the same price the last company was selling the same product for at wholesale value. Why is this important? You can now make retail sales to non distributors and not feel guilty for it. Wouldn’t that be great!
How many active distributors do you need in company B to make $10,000 per month in walk-away residual income?
Answer: 333 people!!!
That’s a significant difference isn’t it?
A lot of us get sucked in with what I call the Smoke and Mirrors. Some examples of smoke and mirrors are the leadership bonuses only 1% of top distributors actually qualify for. Matching bonuses and all the other BONUSES you are promised in a network marketing company to make it look better than it really is are other examples of smoke and mirrors. Don’t get me wrong, these bonuses are great when you qualify for them, but it’s not what pays the bills every month and it’s not residual income. If you can look past the smoke and mirrors and crunch the numbers to reveal how hard you will have to work to get your desired income, you’ll be better off and will probably save yourself YEARS of failure and frustration.
What’s next?

Are You Marching Up The Wrong Path?

“Hold On Tight, Were Going In For The Long Haul!
Oh Wait, We’re In The Wrong Trail.”
This post will help you to see things as they really are. This is CRUCIAL to your success in this industry.
When you look into your mirror, you see everything as they really are. Can you imagine what it would be like to live completely without mirrors? You would never know what you REALLY look like, you’d have to go by what others tell you and assume the picture in your mind is correct.
You would have to ask a lot of questions before you can get a clear picture in your mind as to what you really look like, right? Do you think you would ever really know your true identity? I don’t think so, it would remain an illusion in your mind.
This is what we do in Network Marketing. We jump from one opportunity to another, we sign up without doing any research, we don’t read our contracts, and we think we know everything there is to know about succeeding in these companies because someone tell us what to believe.
We really have no clue!
Some VERY important things you need to do before joining a company:
- Research the company owners to make sure they are people of integrity with first hand Experience in the field of Network Marketing.
- Read the Policies & Procedures (Your LEGAL contract).
- Ask the 10K question (How many ACTIVE distributors will I need in my downline to make $10,000 per month walkaway residual income?)
- Check the Timing in the company, timing in the industry.
- They MUST have remarkable product, or even ANY product at all. (BIG red flag!)
- There must be a compensation plan that will pay the part-timers? (97% of your team will be part-time business builders. It’s crucial that your team gets paid).
- Find a Mentor that will coach you, mentor you, respect you and that offers a proven duplicatable system for success that will work for you.
Success leaves footprints in the sand you can follow. If you can’t follow the footprints, you’re probably on the wrong beach.
You completely eliminate your chances for success without taking these things into consideration. These are things you need to ask to get a clear picture of what you’re getting yourself into. If you were going to purchase a franchise tomorrow, would you not have done the research? Would you not want to find out what your chances are of making the most money for your time? How about finding out how duplicatable the system is so you can sell pieces of the franchise and collect the check. Would you not want to know that your business partners could duplicate what you’ve done and make the most profit in that business? I think you would. If not, you’re really just not cut out for business.
You’re a Business Owner! Do the research and find out as much about the company as you can before jumping in. One more thing! Wouldn’t you like to know what to look for in a company, in order to make the right decision?
